The Identity

The landscape is that of ancient and untamed Etna—a land forged by fire and caressed by the wind. Here, between the districts of Solicchiata and Passopisciaro, at 700 meters above sea level, the wines of tenute bosco are born. The vines, trained in the traditional bush-trained (alberello) method, sink their roots into history: ungrafted, planted more than 120 years ago, before phylloxera altered the fate of European viticulture.

1669

The earliest traces of the estate date back to 1669, in the writings of Abbot Coniglio of Castiglione, who described it as a mosaic of vineyards and ancient palmenti—silent witnesses to a craft handed down through centuries.

female hands

Today, this legacy is entrusted to female hands, guided by passion and respect for a motherland. Etna inspires the vision of Sofia Ponzini and her sister, who have woven together tradition and sustainability into a story of elegance and authenticity. Each wine is a pure expression of terroir, vibrant with character and grace—like a whisper from the mountain itself.
