VICO ETNA BIANCO DOC

VICO Etna DOC Bianco is a rare limited-edition wine, lovingly handcrafted from a single parcel located on a different side of Etna—the southwest slope. It is a pure Carricante, the prince of Etna’s white aromas. Medium-intensity lemon yellow in color, it stands out on the nose for its vibrant notes of lemon zest, starfruit, and apricot, harmoniously integrated with oak hints. On the palate, it offers a creamy texture enriched by nuances of fresh mandarin, peach, and a touch of ginger. The finish is marked by a delicate saltiness.

Vinification:

The must undergoes a short maceration with the skins, then is separated from the coarse lees by cold static decantation, followed by fermentation at a controlled temperature between 15–17°C for at least 10 days.

Aging:

In stainless steel tanks and 500-liter French oak tonneaux for 4 months, with fine lees kept in suspension. The wine then rests in bottle for about 15–18 months.
