ETNA ROSSO DOC

A careful selection of native Nerello Mascalese (90%) and Nerello Cappuccio (10%) grapes from the ancient Piano dei Daini district, in the village of Solicchiata. This wine expresses an immediate and distinctive character—elegant and harmonious, with pleasant red fruit notes typical of this terroir. The Vigne Curve vineyard, trained in spurred cordon, grows at around 700 meters above sea level, in an area where wine has been produced since 1670.

Vinification:

Gentle destemming and pressing of the grapes; transferred by gravity into truncated-cone steel vats, where fermentation lasts 15 days at controlled temperatures (25°–29°C). Daily punch-downs ensure proper extraction of aromas and color from the skins.

Aging:

After malolactic fermentation, the wine is aged in 700-liter French oak tonneaux for 10–12 months, for 3 months in steel tanks and a minimum of 6 months in the bottle.
